Here are the experiences of two customers with our QEDman shaving sticks.

#1 ... Just wanted to share with you my experience with one of your shave sticks. A few months ago I bought a number of these from you including the Mocha Java. To be honest, I'm not a huge chocolate/coffee fan so this one pretty well went neglected these last months. This morning for some odd reason, I had the greatest hankering to use it. Wow! One of the best shaves I've ever gotten. I know some guys STILL haven't figured out how to lather these sticks correctly. This ISN'T difficult and it's not brain surgery. I know you don't need me to educate you about your own product but here's my routine just for giggles. Assuming proper pre-shave prep (whatever this is for each individual) I rubbed the stick against the grain of the beard. I mean I really rubbed it in good. Not to the point of irritation but a VERY generous dose of soap. I then used the unsung Omega boar with most of the water shaken out to make a real face paint all over the beard area. I then took the brush to the ceramic lather bowl and added a good tablespoon of hot water and proceeded to go to work. A very creamy lather was produced post haste and when mixed liberally with the thick/dry-ish coat already on my face, this produced a lather that was absolutely superb. Super dense and VERY creamy. I added a bit of hot water occasionally throughout the shave. This produced superior results. Just tell these nimrods to not be stingy with the soap and to keep working water into it. The results will be great. Finally, as the shave ended, I noticed little rivulets of brown water separating from the little bit of lather still left in the bowl. It was the cacao and coffee essential oils. I quickly whisked them back into the lather left in the bowl and gave my face a quick wash with this lather. My face was incredibly soft afterward. VERY pleasant feeling. Overall, 9+ shave. It really doesn't get any better than that. - Todd, Kansas (excerpt from an actual email received by QED)

#2 ... I felt compelled to let you know how much I enjoyed the Mocha Java shave stick today. I used it for the first time today (first shave stick I'd ever tried, as well) and I'm officially a believer! I rubbed it into my beard per your instructions and initially I wasn't sure if I had done it properly, as the layer of soap looked relatively thin. However, I dipped my pre-moistened brush into a little hot water and proceeded to lather on my face. True to your instructions, in about 10-15 seconds I was rewarded with a lather that was quite possibly the creamiest, most dense stuff I'd ever seen. I put some on my hand afterward and was amazed at the thickness and slickness between my thumb and fingers. My injector razor cruised through my stubble and gave me probably the best, most comfortable shave I've had since I started wetshaving. For trouble spots, I applied a little of the stick without lathering, as suggested in the instructions, and was able to tackle spots that normally are a guaranteed source of nicks and irritation, but not today.
