In 1949, an American woman living in England had discovered the wonderful exfoliating properties of English-made stretch bandages, and developed a skin cleansing cloth based on this material. When she returned to America, she persuaded the English manufacturer to allow her to import the cloth. Initially the finished product was cut, sewn and packaged in England. Later, to improve quality, 6-foot rolls of the material were imported and the finished product made here in the U.S.

What makes this cloth unique is that different strands of cotton are twisted in the manufacturing process, and then the strands shrink at different rates during wetting and drying, creating the knotty texture.

The cream-colored cloth is 100% cotton, measures approximately 11 x 13-1/2", and has a corner loop for easy hanging. To be used with your favorite soap or foaming gel. Apply light pressure and this cloth sloughs and deep cleans, providing a great stimulation for the skin. Can be used instead of scrubs, or exfoliating lotions or creams.
