Merkur's twin blade is remarkable not simply for its keen edge, but for its versatility. It has been cleverly designed so on Merkur's Trac razor it can be used as a fixed or, with the Schick adaptor (included with razor), a pivoting head. In addition, each blade is fitted with a lubricating strip for increased shaving comfort. As if that is not enough, each blade has a self-cleaning mechanism whereby after use, the area between the blades which fills with hair and soap, can be made clean and free of debris by the pushing of a button on the top of the cartridge. Blade also fits Gillette Atra or Trac II style handles, but it does not fit ALL styles of Trac handle so be certain before ordering.
